Warner Tabbed America East Rookie of the Week; Tuesday’s Doubleheader at Mount St. Mary’s Rescheduled

Warner batted .615 (8-for-13) and slugged 1.077 in four games last week. Four of her hits went for extra bases, as she belted three doubles and a home run while knocking in four runs and scoring three, and she posted three multi-hit efforts.

Warner is batting .500 (13-for-26) during her current eight-game hit streak, which has raised her season average from .242 to .315 and is tied for the longest on the team this season. Just a freshman she ranks second on the team with seven doubles and 23 RBIs.

The Retrievers return to action on Thursday, when they visit in-state rival Mount St. Mary’s for a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. The games were originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, but were postponed due to impending rain in the forecast.
