Softball Swept by Towson in Doubleheader
Julia Culotta drove in three runs with a home run and a double against Towson.
Towson loaded the bases in the first inning and took a 2-0 lead on a two-run single by first baseman Joyce Delp, but the Retrievers knotted the score in the top of the second on a two-out solo homer by junior center fielder Julia Culotta (Street, Md./North Harford/Tennessee) and an RBI double by junior first baseman Malorie Weller (Round Hill, Va./Loudoun Valley/Kennesaw State).
But the Tigers went on top for good in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by second baseman Mindy Bean, then took control of the game on a three-run homer by shortstop Sammi DiPompo.
