Wednesday's Softball Game at Towson Postponed; Saturday's Clinic Also Rescheduled

TOWSON, Md.--UMBC's softball game at Towson, which was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Towson Center Field as a result of a pair of snowstorms that blanketed the Baltimore area earlier this month. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 31, at 2 p.m.
The Retrievers opened their season with a tournament title at the Campus Suites Spartan Classic last weekend, posting a 3-1 record.
In addition, the softball clinic scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27, has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 28, and will combine ages 8-17. Registration will begin at 10:30 am. Sports are still available.
The clinic will take place at UMBC's turf field at UMBC Stadium, as well as the UMBC outdoor batting cage. Please park in the lower lot next to the locker room complex. Contact head coach Joe French at 443-454-9103 or jfrench@umbc.edu with questions.
