UMBC Softball to Host Winter Clinics, Bull Roast

BALTIMORE—UMBC head softball coach Joe French and the UMBC softball team will host two winter clinics in February. The indoor clinic will take place on Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Retriever Activities Center (RAC), while the outdoor clinic will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, at UMBC Softball Stadium. Each clinic includes four sessions – two hitting and two pitching split up by age group – and each session will cost $20.
The rain date for the outdoor clinic is Sunday, Feb. 28.
This is the ninth year that Coach French and his team will conduct the winter clinics. The hitting sessions will be run by Coach French, the winningest coach in UMBC softball history (481-305), while the pitching sessions will be run by assistant coach Lauren Nicholson. The clinics will include both lecture and skill work.
