Wednesday Softball Doubleheader with Delaware Canceled

BALTIMORE—The UMBC softball team’s doubleheader against Delaware, which was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, has been canceled due to rain and will not be made up.

The Retrievers (32-19, 10-8 AEC) conclude the regular season this weekend with a three-game series against America East rival Hartford (18-19, 9-7 AEC) at UMBC Softball stadium with a trip to the four-team America East Championships on the line. UMBC is in pursuit of its fourth straight trip to the conference tournament.

Saturday’s doubleheader against the Hawks is slated to begin at 1 p.m. There will be free hot dogs between games for all fans in attendance. The Retrievers will celebrate Senior Day prior to Sunday’s game, which will begin at 12 p.m.
