The Retrievers defeated SUNY-Binghamton 17-9 in the semi-finals and then defeated Iona 15-7 in the championship game of the James Madison Invitational today in Harrisonburg, Virginia.Senior catcher Bonnie Nevin went 4-for-5 with 2 RBI's while feshman Alexis Viera was 3-for-5 in the opener. Junior center fielder Lisa Boone added 4 RBI's. Linsi Moy pitched 5.2 innings to earn the victory.In the championship game, Boone went 4-for-5 with 3 RBI's and Nevin drove in 4 runs. Senior Angie Amedro went the distance to pick up the win.UMBC went a perfect 6-0 in the three-day tournament.
