UMBC KICKOFF CLASSIC DAY ONE RESULTS

Baltimore, Md.-On the first day of the Kickoff Classic, Delaware State won both its games, while Quinnipiac went 1-1 and Coppin State went 0-2. In the day's first game, the Bobcats blanked the Eagles, 16-0 before falling to the Hornets, 7-5, in the second game. In the day's final contest, Delaware State defeated Coppin State, 20-9. Host UMBC opens its home schedule Saturday, playing all three games on the day, with action beginning at 10:30 a.m. against Coppin State. The Retrievers are scheduled to face Quinnipiac at 12:30 and Delaware State at 2:30.
