Against Charleston Southern, UMBC scored four runs in the second inning as Amanda McGhee went 3-for-4 in the game with one run scored and an RBI. In the second game, the Retrievers scored all that they would need in the first inning, as UMBC plated six runs. They were led by Stevie Shore, who went 2-for-3, with a solo homerun, and a two-run double. Nicholson also earned the win in this game, while classmate Amy Sadowl was credited with the save.
