FORMER STANDOUT LISA BOONE HIRED AS ASSISTANT COACH AT UTICA COLLEGE

Former standout player and assistant coach Lisa Boone has accepted the Graduate Assistant/Part-Time Coach position at Utica College in Utica, New York.
"I wish Lisa the best of luck at her new job," said UMBC Head Coach Joe French. "She was one of the greatest players in school history and she did a great job for us this past year as an assistant coach. UMBC will miss her, but I know that she will do a tremendous job at Utica."
Utica, which has a Division III athletic program, is a part of the Syracuse University system. As a member of the Empire 8 Conference, the softball team finished at 18-20 in 2004, going against schools such as Ithaca, St. John Fisher, Hartwick, Elmira, Alfred, Nazareth, and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
