OLIVIERI NAMED AMERICA EAST SOFTBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Freshman second-baseman Gina Olivieri (Brockport, N.Y./The Aquinas Institute) was tabbed America East Rookie of the Week for her efforts in the softball games on March 22-28.
Olivieri collected four hits and seven RBI in 13 plate appearances. She hit two home runs during the week including a grand slam against Central Connecticut. Her efforts against CCSU lifted UMBC to a sweep of the Blue Devils.
