SOFTBALL ALUMNI GAME SET FOR THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25, AT NOON

Baltimore, Md. – UMBC Head Softball Coach Joe French is pleased to announce that the 2003 Alumni Game will be held on Saturday, October 25, at noon at UMBC Softball Stadium. The annual event will be highlighted by a number of returning players who will compete against the 2004 UMBC Softball team.
Expected to return to the diamond will be UMBC’s recently inducted hall of famer Amy Wolff, who became the first softball player to enter the Retriever sports hall of fame. Also back is current assistant coach and four-time All-NEC selection Lisa Boone, who led the Retrievers to a 40-22 record and a tie for the regular season conference crown.
Also scheduled to be in attendance will be first baseman Carrie Lycett, second baseman Kristin Rynning, third baseman Vicki Buisset, left fielder Abbie Kahn, along with pitchers Angie Amedro and Jackie Ruffin, and former coach/pitcher Jean Battista. Handling the catching will be Bonnie Nevin and Stephanie Happel.
All former alumni are encouraged to return to participate in this year’s alumni game. You may email coach French at jfrench@umbc.edu. Following the game a hot dog roast will take place.
