BACKGROUND: Was the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS) Player of the Year in 2002... A member of the TCIS All Conference First Team from 1998-2002... Also a Virginia State First Team pick in 2001 and 2002 as she led her squad to a first place regular-season finish for both seasons... Was chosen as the Norfolk Sports Club Athlete of the year during her senior year... Also lettered in volleyball and basketball... Considers her greatest assets to be her dedication and hard work... Born on August 21, 1984... Daughter of Bill and Jill Mathews... Majoring in Biology as part of the Pre-Medicine program.
