BACKGROUND: A four-time all-conference and three-time all-county selection… Century High School’s all-time hits, runs and RBIs leader… Three-time team captain for the Knights… Named her team’s best offensive player as a sophomore and best defensive player as a senior… A four-year Scholar-Athlete… Also a cross country standout at Century, which won the state title in 2009… A member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student… Chose UMBC over Mount St. Mary’s and Maryland… Daughter of Stephen and Bonnisue Hartman… Has two older sisters, Kate and Stephanie, and an older brother, Paul… Kate and Stephanie both played softball in college… Born March 30, 1993… A secondary education major who hopes to become a teacher.
