2010: Saw action in 16 games and made one start… Did not record a hit in four at-bats… Caught three of four attempted base stealers.

2009: Earned America East All-Rookie Team honors after batting .269 with seven hits, including two doubles, in 26 at-bats… Saw action in 30 games with nine starts… Did not commit an error in 94 chances, the second-most among all perfect fielders in the conference and the second-best total in school history… Threw out five of 10 attempted base stealers… Picked up her first career hit against College of Charleston (Feb. 22)… Made her first career start in the second game of the George Washington doubleheader (Feb. 24)… Went 2-for-3 with her first career double in the second game of the Towson doubleheader (March 24).

BACKGROUND: Selected to the All-State Second Team and the All-Conference First Team as a senior… Also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior… Was part of a team that broke her school’s home run record… Also lettered in field hockey and winter track at Cape Henlopen High School… Led the Vikings’ field hockey team to the playoffs in all four seasons… A member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student throughout high school… Chose UMBC over York College and Slippery Rock University… Has two younger sisters, Camryn and Tess… Born May 27, 1990… Daughter of Julie and Joe Bernheimer… Majoring in math while pursuing a secondary education certificate and hopes to be a high school math teacher.
