2010: Selected to the America East All-Rookie Team after posting a 9-7 record with a 4.31 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 99.0 innings of work… Tossed four complete games… Made 15 starts in 22 appearances… Her nine wins are tied for the 10th-most ever by a Retriever freshman, while her 22 appearances are tied for ninth… Did not commit an error in 34 chances… Also batted .130 with three hits in 23 at-bats and scored twice… Picked up a win in her first career appearance against Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 20)… Did not allow an earned run on seven hits over 8.2 innings in consecutive outings against USC Upstate and Morgan State (Feb. 21-March 6)… Struck out a career-high seven batters against the Bears… Smashed a home run for her first career hit and RBI against Brown (March 7)… Named America East Rookie of the Week on March 8 after picking up a pair of wins in as many appearances and posting a 1.56 ERA with 11 strikeouts to help lead the Retrievers to a UMBC Retriever Classic title (March 6-7)… Won her first four decisions from Feb. 20-March 9… Went 2-for-3 with her first career double and also tossed her first complete game against St. Joseph’s (March 19)… Allowed just one earned run on four hits in 6.1 innings of work in the series finale against Hartford (May 2).

BACKGROUND: A four-time All-County First Team selection… Led Anne Arundel County with 180 strikeouts in 2009… Posted a 17-6 record with a 0.92 ERA and 241 strikeouts as a junior… Tossed two no-hitters as a junior and two more as a senior… Earned First-Team All-Met honors from Digital Sports and Second-Team All-Met from the Baltimore Sun and the Washington Post in 2009… Led the Eagles to the regional title and the state finals in 2007… Two-time team captain… Named team MVP as a senior… Won two Maryland state titles and two Virginia state championships with her travel squad… Also lettered in volleyball for two years at Northeast High School… A member of the National Honor Society… Daughter of Joe and Christine Brown… Has a younger brother, Joey… Born Jan. 12, 1991… A graphic design major.
