2009: Served as team co-captain… Started all 54 games played, batting .127 with nine hits in 71 at-bats… Scored 16 runs and drove in 10… Led the Retrievers with four sacrifice bunts and two sac flies… Went 4-for-6 with four RBI and three runs scored in the Bucknell doubleheader (April 14)… Had an RBI double in the first game of the Hartford doubleheader (May 2) as the Retrievers clinched a berth in the America East Tournament… Recognized on the America East Honor Roll.

 

2008: Started 49 of 53 games played and batted .171 with 14 hits in 82 at-bats… Scored 13 runs and drove in five… Posted six sacrifice bunts, second-most on the team… Went 3-for-6 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored in two games against Delaware (April 30)… Recognized on the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

At CCBC-Catonsville: Earned Second-Team Maryland JuCo All-Region and Second-Team NJCAA honors… Batted .533 with 35 RBI and 20 stolen bases… Helped lead the Cardinals to the NJCAA Division II Region XX title and a berth in the NJCAA World Series… Was also the soccer goalie and allowed just six goals on the season, ranking seventh in the nation… An Academic All-American and a member of the Dean’s List both semesters… Also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

 

Background: A four-time Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland First-Team selection at the Institute of Notre Dame… Also earned All-Metro First-Team honors in 2005 and 2006… Voted Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year at IND… Led the Indians to the IAAM ‘A’ Conference title game as a junior… Played in the Old Line Softball Classic All-Star game in 2006… Also a decorated soccer player in high school, receiving IAAM First-Team All-Conference honors all four years… Daughter of Wayne and Georgette Vetock… Has a younger sister, Lauren, and a younger brother, Mark… Born May 20, 1988… An American studies major who hopes to become a coach or athletics director.
