BACKGROUND: A three-time Times Leader All-Star, Coaches’ All-Star and Conference All-Star selection… Helped lead the Spartans to the district title in 2007… Broke the school record for most home runs in a season with eight in her sophomore campaign… Was highlighted in the “Who’s Who Among American High School Student-Athletes” in all four seasons… Recorded a .990 fielding percentage and a .286 batting average at Wyoming Valley West… Went 4-for-4 and hit for the cycle in a game that advanced the Spartans in the 2006 conference championship… Also lettered in water polo and golf… An honor roll student who was a member of the National Honor Society for two years… Chose UMBC over Fairleigh Dickinson for its strong academic and athletic programs and the diverse community… Has a younger sister, Marissa… Daughter of Lois and James Carver… Born July 12, 1990… A psychology major with a pre-med focus who hopes to become a psychiatrist.
