BACKGROUND: Selected to the All-State Second Team and the All-Conference First Team as a senior… Also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior… Was part of a team that broke her school’s home run record… Also lettered in field hockey and winter track at Cape Henlopen High School… Led the Vikings field hockey team to the playoffs in all four seasons… A member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student throughout high school… Chose UMBC over York College and Slippery Rock University… Has two younger sisters, Camryn and Tess… Born May 27, 1990… Daughter of Julie and Joe Bernheimer… Majoring in math and pursuing a secondary education certificate and hopes to be a high school math teacher.
