2008: Started 47 of 51 games played, primarily in center field… Batted .204 with 23 hits in 113 at-bats… Posted five RBI, four doubles and two triples and scored 10 runs… Stole five bases in seven attempts… Led the Retrievers with seven sacrifice bunts… First career hit was a triple against George Washington (March 2)… Posted back-to-back two-hit games against Georgetown and Albany (April 2-6)… Went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run in the second game of the Maine doubleheader (May 3).

 

Background: Earned Washington Post All-Metro Second-Team honors in 2006 and 2007… A three-time Maryland Independent First-Team All-Southern Maryland Athletic Conference selection… Batted .382 with 15 runs scored and 10 stolen bases as a senior… Named McDonough High School’s 2007 Female Athlete of the Year… Batted .364 for the Bayside Blues ASA team during the 2007 summer season… Helped lead the Blues to ASA Class A Nationals in each of the last three years… A member of the National Honors Society and the principal’s honor roll… Received the 2007 Most Outstanding Student award at McDonough for science, Latin and physical education… Daughter of Kim and Gary Pronobis… Has a brother, Stephen, and a sister, Erin… Born May 6, 1989… A chemistry/pre-med major who hopes to become a doctor.
