Background: Named 2006 Western New York Player of the Year by the Niagara Gazette… A first team All-Western New York selection by the Buffalo News… Named the Niagara PAL Female Prep Athlete of the Year… Hit .413 with four home runs, four triples, seven doubles and 15 RBI as a senior… Helped lead the Wolverines to the Niagara Frontier League Championship… Also a standout in tennis and basketball at Niagara Falls High School… Earned first team all-league singles and fourth team all-Western New York doubles as a four-year member of the varsity tennis team and is her school’s all-time wins leader… Also a second team all-league selection as a three-year member of the varsity basketball team… A member of the National Honor Society, a four-year honor roll student and a class officer… Daughter of Linda and Frank Thompson… Has two brothers, Jeff and Matthew, and two sisters, Courtney and Amanda… Born Aug. 24, 1988… A mechanical engineering major.
