On Keenan: Will sit out the 2006 season with an injury…will be a leader from the sidelines as a student coach…has great knowledge of the game and the team…will be a great role model for the younger players.

 

2005: Served mostly as a pinch-runner, scoring five runs in 16 games and making one start.

 

2004: Played in 22 games, starting 15… Posted just two hits, but had a double, three walks and an RBI.

 

2003: Saw action in only 11 games, but went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

 

Background: Captained her 2001 and 2002 Binghamton teams... Was selected as a "Who's Who among American High School Students" in 2001... In the same year, at the Eastern Zones Championship game, she went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a sac bunt… Defensively, she allowed no stolen bases and was 3-for-3 in throwing out baserunners in the game... Her 18U travel team won the ASA 18U Class A Northeast Zones in 2001… Also a two-year letterwinner in soccer at Binghamton... Chose UMBC over several schools in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania because it "has the best combination of academics and athletics and a really nice campus"... Born Dec. 27, 1983... Daughter of Mike and Mary Keenan... Has a younger brother, Mike, and a younger sister, Kaitlin… Majoring in political science.
