From start to finish was last year’s most consistent pitcher… Lowered her ERA from 2.65 (2003) to 2.59 (2004)… Has 296 innings of experience… Defeated rival Binghamton three times last year… Has developed into the second ace in the staff, teaming up with Lauren Nicholson for a good tandem… A very hard worker who is always working on improving her game and is one of the most crafty pitchers in UMBC history… Will be a key performer this year.
2003- Currently ranks fourth in school history in innings pitches, as she finished with 177 innings, which was second in the Northeast Conference behind teammate Lauren Nicholson... She also trailed Nicholson in NEC games started with 27 and appearances with 31... Put up an 18-7 record in 27 starts (177 IP), striking out 52 while walking only 22... Had a 2.65 ERA and recorded 22 complete games.
Personal- Was the #2 pitcher for the PA Blazing Angels for the past two summers... Was the MVP of her high school squad during her junior and senior years... Received First Team All-Record honors, as well as the Philadelphia Inquirer Athlete of the Week award... Once pitched back-to-back no-hitters during her final year at Hatboro-Horsham... Daughter of Bob and Terry Sadowl... Older sister, Vanessa, played softball at Hofstra... Born on July 4, 1984... Undecided on her major.
