Finished her best year at UMBC in 2003... After starting her career as a .158 hitter in 79 games during her first two seasons, she improved to .320 last year, receiving Second Team All-NEC honors as a utility player... French hopes that she can match or surpass those quality numbers... “Last year, she started a lot of big innings, and now we hope she can also deliver even bigger hits,” said the coach... A total team player and leader who takes pride in her work and most of all, values ‘winning’ as a number one priority.
2003- A Second Team All-Northeast Conference utility player selection... Batted .320 through 60 games, which was good for 18th in the league... Posted four doubles and a homerun en route to 19 RBI’s on the season... Also hit for nine sacrifice flies, while maintaining a .944 fielding percentage in the outfield.
2002- Saw action in 44 games, 16 as a starter...Scored 14 runs.
2001- Saw action in 35 games, with two doubles and four RBI’s.
Personal- A member of the UMBC Gospel Choir... Performs the national anthem at several Retriever sporting events throughout the year... Born on September 30, 1982... Majoring in English and Education.
