Walked on the team this fall as the #4 pitcher... Will pitch out of the bullpen and may also pinch hit... Has good ball movement... Is currently working on developing additional pitches to go with her cut fastball and changeup.
Personal- Received First Team All-County and Second Team All-Met as a senior... That year, she was also chosen as MVP and honored with the William Held Athletic Leadership Award... Was a First Team All-Metro and First Team All-County as a junior... In 2001, she was selected as Baltimore Sun Athlete of the Week (Pitcher), and was chosen MVP at the end of the season... Posted a 1.20 ERA as a freshman and was profiled by Fox 45... Once pitched a shutout to hand Spalding HS its first loss after a 32-game win streak... Also considered Towson, Mount St. Mary’s, and Villa Julie, but selected UMBC because she “liked the campus and friendly atmosphere”... Born on September 11, 1985... Daughter of George and Nadine Taylor... Undecided on her major.
