Teamed up with classmate Amy Sadowl to produce arguably the best rookie season in school history as each posted 18 wins... French expects her to continue to become a top pitcher in the America East... To do so, she must continue to improve location, economize her pitches, and put hitters away with two strikes... “Lauren works very hard at her game and loves having the ball in her hand at any time,” said French... “She will be a key performer again this year.”


2003- Received Second Team All-NFCA Mid Atlantic as well as Second Team All-Northeast Conference honors as her 2.26 ERA was third in the league... Tied the school record for individual season wins with 18... Pitched 179.1 innings, the most in the Northeast Conference, and good for third most in school history... She also led the NEC in games started (28), and was tied for the league lead in appearances with 32... Is currently second in UMBC history with 22 complete games.


Personal- Captained her 2001 and 2002 teams and was voted MVP for those two years... During her senior year, she pitched 14 innings versus conference rival Camden Catholic, allowing five hits while striking out 23, to secure the conference champhionship for the Eagles... Was a second team All Olympic Conference pick in 1999, and a first team pick from 2000-2002... Was selected 2002 All South Jersey by both the Courier Post and Philadelphia Inquirer and Third Team All-State by the Star Ledger... Considers herself to be a hard worker and a loyal teammate...
