Midnight Madness Invades the RAC Friday Evening

BALTIMORE—The annual Midnight Madness event, which marks the start of the men’s and women’s basketball seasons, will take place this Friday, Oct. 16, at RAC Arena.

The event will include free food and performances by the UMBC dance team and cheerleading squad, the Down and Dirty Dawg Band and feature twirler Stasi Kowalewski, as well as the Washington Wizards dunk group and Major Definition, a hip hop club at UMBC.

Fans will then get their first glimpse of the 2009-10 Retriever squads with a 3-point shoot-out and slam dunk contest.

Doors open at 10 p.m., and admission is free to all.
