BALTIMORE—With the start of the 2009-10 academic year right around the corner, Retriever fans can now keep up with their favorite teams in a number of new ways, as UMBC athletics is now on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

The UMBC Athletics Twitter feed will offer score updates and brief information on other Retriever happenings. To follow the feed, go to twitter.com/umbcathletics.

The UMBC Athletics Facebook page will allow fans to view photos and videos from games and other Retriever events. Fans can also post their own photos and interact with other Retriever fans in the discussion board.

Facebook and Twitter are UMBC’s latest foray into social networking. Retriever fans can already read weekly updates on UMBC athletics alumni and more at the UMBC Dawg Blog.
