UMBC Lacrosse to Play Games for a Cause Doubleheader Friday, March 6
BALTIMORE—The UMBC men’s and women’s lacrosse teams’ doubleheader at UMBC Stadium on Friday, March 6, will be “Games for a Cause.” The women’s game against Holy Cross will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation through Under Armour’s “Power in Pink,” while the men’s game against Princeton will benefit the Kennedy Krieger Institute through Lacrosse for Autism.
The Retriever women will wear pink jerseys provided by Under Armour for their 4 p.m. game against the Crusaders. A representative from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation will be at the game with information on the organization and breast cancer. Donations will be collected throughout the game, and UMBC will raffle off a pink iPod donated by Edison Electric.

In the nightcap, the men will hold their second annual Lacrosse for Autism game when they host Princeton at 8 p.m. Donations will be collected throughout the game for Baltimore’s Kennedy Krieger Institute, an internationally recognized facility which is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with pediatric developmental disabilities.
