His name is…Gritty! UMBC’s new Chesapeake Bay Retriever mascot has officially been named. Gritty will symbolize how the Retrievers compete on the field and in the classroom---always striving for the best and never giving up, even when the odds are stacked against them. The puppy is growing at a rapid pace and is quite happy with his surroundings in and around the RAC. Thanks to everyone who voted in our poll!
