Christmas Named to America East Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Senior Michael Christmas (Invercargill, New Zealand/James Hargest College) has been named to the 2010 America East Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Christmas broke the school record in the 800-meter run at the 2010 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing third in an IC4A-qualifying time of 1:51.34. He is a part of three relay UMBC records, including the indoor 4x800-meter relay and both the indoor and outdoor distance medley relays.
The senior was also selected to the 2009-10 America East Indoor Track and Field All-Academic team and was acknowledged on the 2008-09 America East Honor Roll.
