Colbert Breaks 100-Meter Hurdles School Record, Onto Provisionally Qualifies for NCAA's at Morgan State Legacy Meet

BALTIMORE,
On the men’s side, Onto and senior Camal Pugh (Clinton, Md./Oxon Hill) both earned gold medals and qualified for the IC4A Championships in May in the decathlon and the 110-meter hurdles, respectively. Pugh finished the hurdles in 14.59, while Onto finished with 6,946 points in the decathlon, which puts him in the Top 30 in the country.

The UMBC men also picked up two silvers, in the hammer throw and the 1,500-meter run. Freshman Cameron McDearmon (Owings Mills, Md./Franklin) threw the hammer 48.87m (159’6”), while fellow freshman TJ Cowing (
On the women’s side, Colbert finished her 100-meter hurdles qualifier in 14.15, breaking her own record by .01 of a second. She went to finish third in the finals.
