2009 Outdoor: Did Not Compete.

2008-09 Indoor: Placed seventh in the high jump at the America East Championship, clearing a height of 6’2” (1.88m)... Also placed fifth at the conference meet in the heptathlon with a score of 4,525 points.

Background: Raritan High School record holder in the high jump and triple jump… Helped lead his team to the state championship in football and baseball... Set the freshman heptathlon record at Monmouth University… Earned Northeast All-Conference Team honors at the 2007 indoor meet.

Personal: Son of Thomas and Kathleen Buccheri… Has two brothers, Thomas, 24, and John, 10… Member of the Dean’s List at Monmouth… A member of the National Honor Society in high school… Lists Coach Andrew Torge as one of the reasons he came to UMBC… Born Oct. 18, 1987.
