2004-2005 Indoor:  Placed first in the 60m dash at the Bucknell Gulden relays and at the Bucknell Bison Opener where he recorded his best time of 6.79s…placed first in the 55m dash at the America East Championship and eighth in the IC4A championships…claimed his best time in the IC4A championships semis with a time of 6.33s…Grossman finished third in the 200m dash final at the America East Championships but recorded his season’s best time of 21.58s in the event at the IC4A Championships prelims...recorded the Retrievers’ best times in the 55m dash, 60m dash and 200m dash.

 

2005 Outdoor:  Was limited in competition in the outdoor season nursing a hamstring injury, returning to competition at the University of Virginia Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational where he placed first in the 100m dash in 10.61 seconds…went on to win the Mount St. Mary’s 100m dash prior to the Penn Relays and Conference Championships…won three first place finishes at the 2005 America East Conference Championships held at the University of Binghamton in the 100m Dash, 200m Dash and 4x100m Relay…with three first place finishes he qualified for the NCAA Regionals held in New York City on May 27-28…won the Most Outstanding Male Performer of the Meet and the Coaches Award for scoring the most individual points at the America East Conference Championships…his time in the 200m dash set an America East record finishing in 21.32s for the top honors and breaking an eleven year mark set by Delaware’s Roland Johnson (21.41s) was broken by .09 seconds… almost set his second conference record finishing the 100m dash in 10.64 seconds, .01 seconds off the America East record set in 1999 by Boston University’s Johann Jack (10.63s)… anchored UMBC’s 4x100m relay team that won first place in 41.68s.  The team was comprised of Keith Ransom, Andre Felton, Khris Hutson and Grossman… pulled up in the NCAA regional 100m dash with a quadriceps injury, forcing him out of the 200m dash race as well…competed in the 100m dash Open at the 2005 Penn Relays, placing ninth in 10.65 seconds… qualified for the finals the previous day by winning the second heat of the 100m dash in 10.69 seconds, the sixth fastest time… teamed up with fellow Retriever Mike Zyvoloski to sweep the men’s weekly awards on April 26, 2005, earning performer of the week …named America East Track Scholar Athlete for the 2004-05 Indoor and 2005 Outdoor season…named UMBC Male Scholar Athlete of the year in 2005.
