Men's Tennis to Meet Stony Brook in America East Semifinals on Morning of May 1

UMBC will attempt to reclaim the title that they captured in 2007.
The No. 48 Binghamton University men look to defend their title and claim their sixth crown in eight years. They are seeded first and will play the winner of No. 4 Boston University vs. No. 5 Hartford.
UMBC dropped a 4-2 decision to Stony Brook on March 30 at Greenspring Racquet Club.

Notes: UMBC completed the regular season with a 16-5 record, posting its most wins in a season since 2002, when the Retrievers won 18 of 26 matches… The 16 wins is tied for the fourth-most in UMBC’s Division I (1987) history… Sophomore Joseph Adewumi (Phoenix, Ariz./North Canyon) led the team in singles victories this spring with 18 (18-5), followed closely by senior Fredi Voorman (Talinn, Estonia/Audentes Private) and freshman Adam Duprat (Bobigny, France) was each recorded 17… Duprat was an outstanding 17-2, performing at the Nos. 2-4 slots… Voorman led the squad with 33 total spring victories, as he posted a 16-6 mark in doubles… His career record stands at 164-55, a winning percentage of 74.9… The program’s all-time record at the Division I level is 292-214 (.577).
