2009-10: Claimed silver in the 200-yard butterfly and placed fourth in the 100 fly and 100-yard backstroke at the America East Championships… Swam season-best times in the 100 back (50.36), 100 fly (49.85) and 200 fly (1:51.09), which rank fifth, eighth and seventh, repectively, on UMBC’s all-time top-10 list… Highest finish during the dual meet season was second in the 100 back, which he achieved twice.

Background: Named an All-American in the 100 fly and 100 back by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association in 2008… Named Richard-Montgomery’s team MVP Award three years in a row… Became Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club’s team record holder in three events in 2009.

Personal: Son of George Haibel and Jennifer Rojko… Has an older sister, Elizabeth (23) and an older brother, Christopher (21)… Majoring in biology and pre-med… Born March 30, 1990.
