2008-09: Part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that set school, America East Championship and Boston University Aquatic and Fitness Center pool record (6:39.18)… Also finished sixth in the 200 free and 200 back at the conference meet… Part of the gold medal-winning 200 free relay team at the Patriot Invitational… Also placed sixth in the 50 free, 200 free and 200 back at the Patriot Invite… Swam career-best times in the 200 free (1:41.40) and 200 back (1:51.57) at the America East Championships… Earned America East All-Academic honors… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2007-08: Part of the school, America East Championship and University of Maine Wallace Pool record-setting 800-yard freestyle relay (6:42.44)… Also finished sixth in the 200 free, seventh in the 400 individual medley and eighth in the 200 backstroke at the conference meet… Claimed fourth place in the 400 IM, seventh in the 200 back, eighth in the 200 free and 13th in the 500 free at the GMU Patriot Invitational and was also part of the second-place 200, 400 and 800 free relays at the same meet… Swam season-best times in the 200 back (1:54.09), 50 free (21.87), 200 free (1:43.47) and 500 free (4:43.77) at the Patriot Invite and in the 400 IM (4:09.66) at the America East Championships.

Background: Won five gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Provincials… Won the 200 backstroke at the 2006 Western Canadian Championships… Also combined for 10 gold medals (six individual, four relay) at the 2004 Alberta Provincial Championships… Part of the 2005 Club National champion team … Named the Most Improved Male Swimmer for his club team from 2004-2007… Won the Pepsi Award in 2006 and the Rutherford Scholarship in 2007.

Personal: One of two children to Larry and Annelise Freeman… Has a younger brother, Spencer (16)… Majoring in mechanical engineering… Born Feb. 4, 1990.
