2007-08: Claimed silver in the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes and bronze in the 50 freestyle at the America East Championships and was also part of the silver medal-winning 200 free relay… Also placed third in the 100 back, sixth in the 200 back, 15th in the 50 free, 34th in the 100 butterfly, second as part of the 200 free and fourth as part of the 400 medley relays at the Patriot Invitational… Won the 100 backstroke at one dual meet during the season and was part of the winning 400 free relay at one meet… Swam UMBC’s fastest 50 free (21.24) time of the season, which is a career-best and ranks 10th on the all-time top ten list… Also swam a career best in the 100 back (51.05), which ranks fifth on the top ten list… Named to the America East All-Academic Team.

 

2006-07: Earned bronze in the 200 backstroke, was part of the silver medal 200 freestyle relay, and finished fourth in the 100 back and 11th in the 50 free at the America East Championships… Also finished fourth in the 100 back, 200 back, and as part of the 400 free and 400 medley relays, and was also part of the sixth place 200 medley and 200 free relays at the Patriot Invite… Swam on the winning 200 medley relay at two dual meets and the 400 free relay at one meet… Won the 100 back against Marist and the 200 back against Rider and Colgate…  Swam UMBC’s second-fastest 100 and 200 back times of the season, both of which were career bests… Swam career bests in the 50 free (21.70), 100 back (51.26), and 200 back (1:51.62)… 200 back time ranks fifth and 100 back time ranks sixth on the all-time top ten list... Named to the America East Honor Roll and America East Winter All-Academic Team.

 

2005-06: Placed fourth in the 200-back, fifth in the 100-back and 14th in the 50-free at the America East Championships… Took fifth in the 100-back and ninth in the 200-back at ECAC’s… Swam UMBC’s fastest times of the season in the 100-back (51.92) and the 200-back (1:52.88)… Tied for second in the 200-back and led off the runner-up 400-medley relay team against Rider in his first collegiate meet… Broke New Hampshire’s pool record in the 100-back leading off the winning 400-medley relay, which also broke the pool record… Won the 200-back at four dual meets, the 100-back against Howard and the 100-free against UNH… Led off the winning 400-medley relays at six meets… Also led off the winning 200-medley relay against Howard and anchored the winning 400-free relay against New Hampshire… Selected to the America East Honor Roll.

 

Background: Won the 100-meter backstroke at the high school championships in 2004-05… Placed third in the 50-meter backstroke at the Balkan Junior Swimming Championships… was a Junior National champion in the 50-, 100- and 200-meter backstroke in 2003-04… Placed second in the 100-meter backstroke at the National Championships in 2005… Helped lead his team to six consecutive national championships.
