Retrievers Shine on Final Day of ECAC Championships

Pittsburgh, Pa.-- Sophomore Emily Escobedo broke another school record, improving on her seeding for NCAA's on Saturday at the ECAC Championships. Several Retrievers earned top eight finishes in final heats.

Escobedo contiuned her strong run as a Retriever, breaking a school and ECAC record in the 200 breaststroke. Emily swam a 2:09.66 in the prelims to earn the mark, and won the championship race in a time of 2:09.88. 

Hannah Sutherland earned a seventh place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:05.18 in the championship heat. Teammate Lauren Day finished fourth in the consolation heat with a time of 2:07.53. Kristie Langford earned sixth place finish in the consolation heat of 100 back. Langford touched the wall in 52.47.

On the men's side, Leo Endres had a strong showing in the 200 breast, finishing just 11 hundreths of a second behind the winner Ruan Zorgman of Binghamton. Nikola Trajkovic placed fifth in the consolation heat with a time of 2:06.53.

Next up for the Retrievers will be the NCAA Championships. Zone Diving Championships will take place March 9-11.
