2013-14: Recorded a career-best 200-yd. freestyle time of 1:40.48 in the prelims of the event at the ECAC Championships at the Naval Academy… Finished fifth in the night time finals with a time of 1:40.53… Competed as an exhibition in the 100- and 200-yd. freestyle events, as well as the 200 IM, at the CCSA Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. … Took the top spot in the 200 free as UMBC opened the season with an exhibition meet at Bucknell on Oct. 5… Achieved his top dual meet finish of second while competing in the 200 free on Senior Day as UMBC hosted Howard at the UMBC Aquatic Complex.

2012-13: Earned his best dual meet finish, third place, in the 200-yd. butterfly and 200-yd. backstroke against Howard, as well as the 200-yd. freestyle against East Carolina… Swam his fastest 200 free (1:42.70) at the ECAC Championships at Harvard… Also recorded his top 200 IM (1:56.46) swim of the year at the ECAC meet.

2011-12: Swam season-best times in three events at the Patriot Invitational... Placed fifth in the 200-yd. free at the invitational at George Mason... Earned a third place finish in the 200 IM (1:56.31) at the Terrapin Invitational... Best dual meet finish was third in the 200 free at Howard.

2010-11: Swam a career-best 50-yard freestyle (22.18) at the Terrapin Invitational... Finished with season-best times in the 50 breast (20.35), 100 free (44.82) and 200 free (1:37.29) at the Terrapin Invitational.

Background: A transfer from the University of Arizona, Keane redshirted his freshman year… Broke three Massachusetts South/Central Sectional records on the way to earning All-Scholastic honors from the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald… A three-time state champion in the 100-yard freestyle, 200 free and 200 free relay in 2009… Also named All-Scholastic by the Boston Herald in 2008… Qualified for Junior Nationals in the 100 free and 200 free in 2009… Honored with the Jack Dempsey award for Boston College High School.
