2011-12: CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major All-American Honorable Mention... Broke the UMBC school record, in addition to the America East and Boston University pool records, en route to winning the 200-yd. butterfly at the conference meet in a time of 1:46.68... Also won individual gold medals in the 200 (1:38.54) and 500 free (4:27.30) at the America East Championships... Swam a season best in each of the event finals at the championships... 200 free time ranks as the fifth-fastest time in UMBC school history... Won a team-best ten individual events during the dual meet season while also helping the Retrievers win four relays... Named America East Male Swimmer of the Week twice.

2010-11: Part of the 800-yard freestlye relay team that set an America East Championships meet and pool record (6:34.28) as well as a UMBC record... Also claimed gold in the 500 (4:27.08) and 1,650 freestyle (15:39.21) and bronze in the 200 freestyle (1:39.28) at the conference meet... Times in the 200, 500, 1000, and 1,650 freestyle as well as 200-yard butterfly rank among the top-10 in school history... Named America East Male Swimmer of the Week twice... Selected to the America East All-Conference Team... Named to the America East Honor Roll.

Background: Competed for Cleveland State for his freshman year… Placed fifth in the 200-yard butter fly, sixth in the 500-yard freestyle and 10th in the 200 free at the 2010 Horizon League Championships… 2008 South Africa high school champion in the 200 fly and 400 free... National finalist in 2008 and 2009... A 2008 World Cup representative.
