ROWLAND SELECTED IN FIRST ROUND OF MISL DRAFT BY HARRISBURG HEAT; ALSO EARNS ALL AMERICA HONORS

UMBC goalkeeper Brian Rowland was selected by the Harrisburg Heat in the First Round of the Major Indoor Soccer League amateur draft held yesterday. Rowland, the ninth selection overall, completed his UMBC career with a school record 25 shutouts, including a single season record 11 this year. He was also a First Team Northeast Conference selection this year, posting a stellar 0.81 goals against average.Rowland was also named an Honorable Mention All American by College Soccer News.
