TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—UMBC senior forward/midfielder Andrew Bulls (Millersville, Md./McDonogh) has been named to the 2011 College Soccer News Third-Team Preseason All-America squad.
Bulls has previously earned a high honor from College Soccer News, cited as a Third-Team All-American after his stellar 2009 campaign.
The three-time America East First Team honoree finished second in the nation in scoring in 2009 with 2.05 points per game, recording 15 goals and adding 11 assists. Last season, Bulls was shifted from forward to midfield and set an America East record with 15 assists, good for third place in the nation.
He is the first Retriever in school history to record at least 25 goals and 25 assists in a career as he enters the 2011 campaign with 28 apiece (84 points). Bulls needs one more assist to become UMBC’s all-time leader in the category and would need 23 points to become the Retrievers’ all-time leading scorer at the NCAA Division I level.
