Emmitsburg, Md. - The Mount St. Mary's men's soccer
                 team lost to UMBC by a final score of 1-0 in Northeast
                 Conference men's soccer action Saturday afternoon.
                 Retrievers' striker Derek McElligott recorded an
                 unassisted goal in the 82nd minute, dropping the Mount
                 to 5-9-3 on the season. 

                 With a scoreless game heading into the final 10 minutes
                 of the game, McElligott intercepted a pass on the way
                 back to Mount goalkeeper Brian Crum. McElligott from
                 eight yards out volleyed the ball past a diving Crum into
                 the net for the goal.

                 The Mount continued to be relentless in the final minutes,
                 earning multiple scoring opportunities in Retriever
                 territory. Despite the opportunities, the Mount were
                 unable to find the equalizer as UMBC goaltender Brian
                 Rowland (3 saves) held on for the shutout victory. With
                 the win the Retrievers move to 11-5-2 on the season.
