McELLIGOTT'S LATE GOAL GIVES MEN'S SOCCER A 2-2 DRAW WITH AEC FAVORITE NORTHEASTERN

Boston, MA--Derek McElligott scored his second goal of the game with 3:14 to play as UMBC (4-1-3) battled back to record a 2-2 draw with America East pre-season favorite Northeastern (3-4-2, 1-1-1).
McElligott had tied the game at 1-1 with a diving header on a feed from Danny Mongello in the 62nd minute. Then, he scored his 7th goal of the season in the waning moments after receiving a feed from linemagte Marco Angelini.
McElligott now has 31 career goals. UMBC outshot NU, 12-11, and Retriever netminder Andy Marchica made 3 saves for UMBC.
