Skilled striker who is looking to improve upon his Division I debut in 2002...could form a dangerous duo with McElligott in ‘03.

2002-Was in the starting lineup on opening day for UMBC and responded with the Retrievers’ first goal of the season vs. Hofstra...was also impressive in second half comeback vs. Loyola, notching an assist, then a goal to knot the game at 2-2...but his effectiveness slipped after that point and Coach Caringi used him off the bench in the second half of the season...after going scoreless for 12 games, he got back on the board with a late season goal vs. Monmouth...seemed to regain his confidence with a solid spring.
BACKGROUND: Highly-regarded junior college transfer from Essex Community College…earned Second Team All America honors as he scored 12 goals and added 13 assists in his sophomore season…just capped an outstanding summer with the U-23 National Champion Baltimore Bays…scored the game-tying goal in the national title game victory over the Colorado Rush…was also part of an MIAA championship squad at Curley… brother, Roberto, 24, competed for the Retrievers during the 1998 season…has two other brothers, Steven, 21, and Michael, 17…enjoys the music of Creed and the movie The Shawshank Redemption…son of Salvina and Nello Angelini…born January 25, 1982.
