Background: Named to College Soccer News’ list of “100 Freshmen to Keep an Eye On”… The McDonogh standout scored twice in the United States Soccer Academy’s 2008 championship game to lead the Casa Mia Bays to the national title this past summer… Can play any midfield position or as a marking back or even forward if necessary…A 2007 NSCAA adidas high school All American, scoring 18 goals and adding 24 assists for the MIAA champions… Also earned First Team All-State and All-South honors this past fall and was a two-time Baltimore Sun First Team All-Metro selection… A member of the 2006 USYSA national club champion Baltimore Bays… Named Baltimore County Player of the Year in his junior season for the Eagles… Brother Dan will be a senior on the Retrievers’ squad… Actively recruited by schools in the Atlantic Coast, Big East and Big Ten Conferences… Attended Old Mill High School as a freshman and lettered in both soccer (Second Team All-Metro, The Washington Post) and tennis… Served as president of the McDonogh cricket, scrabble and table tennis clubs… Enjoys the music of Sergio Mendes and can imitate the singing styles of legends such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin… Oldest brother Aaron competed in soccer at McDaniel (Md.)
