2007: Earned All Rookie team honors from the America East Conference... Placed second in the league in freshman goal scoring with four scores... Tallied UMBC’s first goal of the year to tie the game in an eventual 2-1 over Air Force in the opener... Named America East Rookie of the Week after a five-point week in early October... Recorded his first multiple-point game with a goal and a helper in 3-0 win at Mount St. Mary’s and followed up with spectacular individual effort and goal in 4-0 triumph over Stony Brook.. His fourth and final goal of the campaign occurred at Howard.

BACKGROUND: Majoring in history... Earned first-team All-State honors from the Maryland Association of Coaches of Soccer and was the 2006 Baltimore City Player of the Year…  Led the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference in scoring for a second straight year, scoring 27 goalsin ‘06, concluding with the game-winner in the Friars' 1-0 win over McDonogh for the league championship… The goal gave him eight game-winning goals in the team's final 11 games, as the senior finished his career with 59 goals and 17 assists… A three-year starter, team captain and MIAA All-Star… Scored in 16 of the team's 21 wins and had seven multi-goal games… The Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year in ’06…  Served as president of the history and environmental science clubs and a member of the Franciscan Youth Ministry, which raises funds for needy organizations… Enjoys seafood and lists his favorite professional team as Manchester United… Son of Karen and Bill Quigley… William Quigley was born on May 26, 1989.
