Scored his first collegiate goal to cap a three-goal first half in the Retrievers’ 3-0 win over Maine... Notched a game-winner at Howard... Volleyed the ball out of the air and into the lower right corner of the net from 25 yards out in the eventual 4-0 win.
BACKGROUND: Earned first-team All-State and second-team All-Metro honors last season for the Friars… A four-year varsity starter who is the son of Dale Rothe, an All-American at the University of Baltimore and former teammate of Coach Caringi… Lists his greatest thrill in sports as winning the 2006 MIAA Championship and advancing to regional playoffs… Also lettered in track and field and medaled in the high jump in the MIAA Championships… Enjoys chicken alfredo and the music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers… Has an older brother, Dale… Son of Rose and Dale Rothe… Sean Michael Rothe was born on March 30, 1989.
