Background: Highly decorated local product who was an All Division selection in his four years of varsity soccer…was a First Team All City/County selection by The Baltimore Sun in his last three years at Towson and earned All State recognition as a senior…led the Generals to the regional playoffs in all four years, highlighted by a state title in his junior season of 2003… scored 60 goals and added 64 assists during high school competition...a five-time state finalist, and a two-time state champ with the Baltimore Bays 87' club team...also excelled in indoor track, qualifying for state championships in the 300 and 500m and the 4 x 200 and 4 x 400m relay events…an outstanding student, who is a member of the National Honor Society and received Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance marks in all four years at Towson…selected UMBC over other prominent local institutions because “UMBC provided an opportunity to challenge myself academically, while playing an extremely competitive level of soccer”…is considering a major in Economics…has an older brother, Jeffrey, 22, and a younger brother, Steven, 16, who also compete in soccer…father, Jeffrey, Sr., played soccer at Essex CC…son of Tracy and Jeffrey Novotny…born December 27, 1986.
