Baltimore, Md.—UMBC men's soccer returns home to take on Albany on Saturday night to close out #UMBCHomecoming. The Retrievers are coming off a 3-2 loss to UMass Lowell on Wednesday to drop to 6-3-3, 1-1-1 AE on the year.

-The 2002 and 2012 UMBC men's soccer teams will be recognized at halftime.

Scouting the Retrievers (6-3-3, 1-1-1 AE):
-The Retrievers enter the match with the Great Danes at 6-3-3, 1-1-1 AE on the year. Most recently, the Retrievers fell to UMass Lowell, 3-2 on Wednesday. Sammy Kahsai (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) and Kyle Saunderson (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) scored late in the loss.
-Senior Gregg Hauck (Linthicum, Md./North County) leads the team with ten points, scoring four goals with two assists. Saunderson is tied with Hauck for the team lead with four goals, while Kahsai has netted three for the Retrievers. In total, nine different Retrievers have goals on the year.
-Freshman Ciaran O'Loughlin (Birkenhead, England) has played and started in every game for the Retrievers this year, giving up 14 goals for a goals against average of 1.16. He has made 42 saves with four shutouts this year.
Scouting the Great Danes (9-3-0, 2-1-0 AE):
-Albany comes to Baltimore after dropping a 2-1 decision to New Hampshire on Wednesday. The Great Danes went in front with a second half goal, but two unanswered Wildcat goals gave them the win, dropping Albany to 9-3-0, 2-1-0 AE).
-Afonso Pinheiro leads the team offensively, scoring a team best six goals with four assists for 16 points. Nico Solabarrieta and Daniel Krutzen help bolster an offense that is averaging 2.00 goals per game. Solabarrieta has scored four times with five assists (13 points), while Krutzen has two goals and team best six assists (10 points).
-Danny Vitiello and Lucas Vallilo have both played and started in six games this year. Vitiello has seen the most action recently, giving up two goals (0.33 GAA) making 21 saves with four shutouts in six games.
-The Retrievers and Great Danes will be meeting for the 16th time in the all-time series, with UMBC holding a slim 7-5-3 advantage.
-UMBC has never lost to Albany at home, going 6-0-2 in eight meetings at Retriever Soccer Park. Most recently, the Great Danes took down UMBC 2-0 up in New York last year.
-UMBC staff, students and fans packed the bleachers and hill at Retriever Soccer Park on Tuesday, September 26 to watch No. 1 Maryland take on the Retrievers. A total of 3,766 fans saw the Retrievers and Terrapins finish in a 1-1 draw.
-The previous attendance record was set earlier this year, when 2,873 fans saw the Retrievers and Howard Bison battle on August 28.
-Senior midfielder Gregg Hauck has eclipsed the ten-goal mark for his career as a Retriever. Of the 11 goals that he has scored, nine of them have either been a game winner or game tying goal.
-The Retrievers will remain home, and step out of conference for a Tuesday night meeting with Delaware. Kickoff with the Blue Hens is set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.
